Empower Action County Coalition

Empower Action County Coalition (EACC) is an agency within Marlboro County Coordinating Council. The purpose of the EACC is the promotion of children’s well-being and to grow family resilience while preventing child maltreatment. The Empower Action Model, developed by Children’s Trust as part of the South Carolina Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Initiative, puts local communities at the center of the work to build health, well-being, and resilience for children and families in a way that is racially equitable, sustainable and meaningful. An important outcome of the Empower Action Model is that organizations, communities, and state leaders develop and support ongoing prevention plans of action.

Children’s Trust is partnering with three countywide coalitions to facilitate Empower Action Model and build actionable plans for growing resilience and preventing child maltreatment. Our goal is to expand the model to other counties.
